I love your last paragraph about the deep joy coming from leaving the familiar behind to chase after His will.
Right now, I may not be leaving friends or loved ones behind, but I am leaving familiar ways of dealing with things... depression, anxiety, coping mechanisms that aren't healthy... and though it is a struggle (sometimes daily) God has really been honoring it, and I have been coming to more and more freedom in Him. I have started to see the deep joy. And I want more, so I keep pressing on... even when it is hard.

I love coming by your blog and catching up. I enjoy your insights on the books you have been reading, and the things you are learning. I praise God that He is raising up more and more young people to reach the world for Him. Praise Him for giving you and others the mentors and examples you need to point you in the right direction... He has done the same for me, in the exact times and places and seasons of life I have needed it.
It is an amazing God we serve, hey?
Thank you for sharing what God is doing in your life.
I am blessed by reading your experiences.
God bless you,
Heather

[...] He was a Man of Prayer… the book does a great job of showing the process of him realizing the importance of prayer in his life as he fought in the Spiritual Realm for the lives of the Lisu people. On almost every page there is a snippet of his prayer habits, be those rising early, using his travel time to talk to God, spending hours or days in prayer, fasting often, or finding a solitary place where he would go to pace back and forth and pray out loud (see my previous entry, Postures of Prayer).
I stumbled across the link to your page on facebook and was curious because of it's title. I have always considered my Christian walk a journey as you aptly described in your title so I was curious to see what was contained within. When I saw your title about Leviticus I was immediately intrigued. I happen to love that book for many of the reasons you expressed and always love it when my readthru brings me through it's pages once again. I just wanted to say thank you so much for expressing your thoughts. They were a great reminder to me and challenged me to continue to strive to TRUELY worship God with a pure heart. Thanks for encouraging a sister in Christ.

I just finished this inspiring book.

I love how God uses broken individuals to accomplish amazing things. David had so many occasions to become a Saul or to stop Absalom from become one, but the memories of his brokenness kept him on the path the Lord had traced for him. My prayer is that church leaders learn to become more like David (I have already been blessed in this department), and that followers (like me) learn submission, not simply authority.
